ARA and APAA have been working diligently for two years on the ‘Legacy Pet Plan’
APAA president Jenny Clarke is loading a cat into her white van to be transported to Animal Rescue Algarve’s shelter, near Loulé. “ARA have kindly offered to take the cat for re-homing. The owners, unfortunately, had to take off rather quickly for the UK. Illness in the family. Can’t take puss.” Shame.
“In fact, Anita Wight, APAA’s ‘Pop-Up’ shop manager, has taken on a summer job. She’s just getting her tool-box ready for the ‘Legacy Road Show’.”
ARA and APAA have been working diligently for two years on the ‘Legacy Pet Plan’. Some 24 members have already signed up and feel confident knowing it works. “Understandably, there were a few stumbling blocks along the way, but we coped. After all, it is tailormade to each individual’s requirement. No two animals or their owners are the same or have the same predicament.”
Whilst it’s absolutely clear that the money ‘gifted’ for the care of your pet is not a fixed amount, or necessarily mandatory, it is indeed an amount you feel is substantial or sufficient enough to care for your pet whilst it is being checked by the vet, chipped, fed and cared for until a really suitable home is found.
Sid Richardson, ARA’s CIC, has worked hard on the shelter ‘Cabanita’ and it is a testimony to both him and his hand-picked team that your animal will receive the best treatment they can offer. “There are many such plans in the UK, and they are becoming more and more popular. If only because it puts your mind at rest that if you die or become ill, there is a future for your wonderful furry friend,” he said.
Anita Wight is on the road bringing the ‘Legacy’ message to you. The Association for Protection of Animals Algarve (APAA) fully endorses the plan.
Jenny and Anita have already signed up. “We can’t be without our friends. They are our lives. But we know we can’t always be here for them. The least we can do is to ensure they have a secure future!”
If you need one-to-one explanation on the plan and how it works, or arrange a group meeting, Anita will be glad to come and have a chat. Every animal’s individual needs are important. But even so, there is a special plan for your pet! A guaranteed safe future. Check out the ‘Legacy Video’ link below.
