Albufeira sets up volunteer bank

Albufeira municipal council has set up a local volunteer bank, designed to connect residents with local institutions in need of support.

Open to citizens aged 18 and over and organisations working across areas such as social action, health, education, culture, environment, youth, and professional training, the project’s goal is simple: to match people who want to donate their time with institutions that need helping hands.

The initiative oversees registration, placement, and follow-up, while also offering training and spaces for sharing experiences.

Residents can sign up online via the digital registration form at www.cm-albufeira.pt/ser-voluntario, or in person at the Social Action Division of Albufeira’s town hall, located at Quinta da Palmeira (next to the Ecocentro), from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. For further information, residents can contact the Social Action services by phone at 289 599 509 or via email at albufeira.voluntaria@cm-albufeira.pt.
