The Algarve Tourism Board will kick off a new multimedia campaign tomorrow, August 15, targeting Portuguese and Spanish audiences, especially in Andalusia. This campaign aims to position the region as an ideal holiday destination during the shoulder season (the period between peak and off-peak tourist seasons).
Under the slogan “Algarve just for you,” the campaign runs until September 15 and promotes the region as the ideal destination for those seeking to enjoy all that the Algarve offers – beaches, restaurants, nature, culture – but with fewer crowds, more space, and greater exclusivity.
The campaign’s main message emphasises the advantages of visiting the Algarve outside peak season, focusing on the peace and high-quality tourist experience available during this quieter period. “All the best the Algarve has to offer, with the tranquillity you deserve” is the proposal that aims to turn a simple trip into an exclusive experience, characterised by the serenity and authenticity of the destination.
The communication plan includes presence on Portuguese television channels, digital media, as well as billboards and urban furniture strategically placed in key cities in Andalusia (Seville, Cádiz, and Huelva). The aim is to directly and inspiringly engage targeted audiences, such as families, couples, golfers, food lovers, and nature enthusiasts.
Created by the agency Comunica.me, this campaign is part of Turismo do Algarve’s ongoing strategy to boost brand awareness and sustainably manage tourism demand, ensuring a memorable and exclusive experience throughout the year.

The relevance of the expanded domestic market
According to the Algarve Tourism Boards, the so-called expanded domestic market, which includes Portugal and Spain, plays a crucial role in the region’s tourism industry. In 2024, these two markets together accounted for 1.76 million visitors, establishing them as the Algarve’s primary source market, and 5.53 million overnight stays, making it the second largest market by volume, after only the United Kingdom. The new “Algarve just for you” campaign reflects the strategic importance of strengthening links with these audiences and promoting off-peak travel.
