Cacela Velha, the Algarve’s stunning coastal village in the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António, is preparing to host another magical edition of an event that pays tribute to the region’s Moorish past.
Taking place from Friday to Sunday (July 11-13), ‘Noite da Moura Encantada’ (Nights of the Enchanted Moorish Maiden) aims to transport visitors to the fascinating world of One Thousand and One Nights.
The event will run daily from 6pm to midnight, offering a truly immersive cultural experience in a breathtaking location overlooking the Ria Formosa.
Over three evenings, the village will be transformed into a crossroads of Mediterranean cultures, inviting visitors to enjoy a rich programme of live music, oriental dance, gastronomy, artisan markets, theatre, workshops, and street performances.
Organised by the municipal council of VRSA, in partnership with Ibérica – Eventos e Espetáculos and ADRIP – Association for the Protection, Rehabilitation, Research and Promotion of Cacela’s Natural and Cultural Heritage, the event is free of charge.
