Alvor riverside clean-up at sunset

Teia D’Impulsos celebrates National Sea Day with clean-up action

The Arade Azul project is returning to the Alvor riverside for another clean-up action on Sunday, November 9.

Following the success of the last action, which brought together 40 volunteers and resulted in the collection of around 1900kg of waste, the project returns for another environmental awareness and clean-up initiative, this time in the form of ‘Arade Azul Sunset’. The clean-up runs between 3.30pm and 5pm.

Promoted by the Teia D’Impulsos Association, the Arade Azul project aims to raise awareness in the community about the preservation of aquatic ecosystems through regular clean-up and environmental education activities on the banks of the Arade River and surrounding areas.

This new initiative, part of the National Sea Day (November 16) celebrations, aims to reinforce the association’s commitment to sustainability and the enhancement of local water resources.

With the support of the local fishing community, Arade Azul highlights the importance of joint work between associations, public entities and citizens in protecting the environment.

Participation is free, but registration must be made via the following link.
