A touch of glamour and sophistication came to the Algarve on Monday last week when Uschi Kuhn and Selma Cazes launched their new image style and colour coaching consultancy, Be You, in Vale Telheiro, Loulé.
Uschi said: “In today’s economic climate, it’s more important than ever to create a good impression. Research has shown that even before a job interview has started, the way an interviewee looks and dresses may decide which of the candidates with the same qualifications gets the job.”
Uschi has been in business in the Algarve as a hairdresser and make-up artist for several years. “It seemed a natural progression to help my existing clients and new ones make the best of themselves, both in looks and style,” she said. “It doesn’t necessarily mean spending a fortune on new clothes. I can look through a client’s wardrobe and see which of their clothes will suit them best. If a new outfit is required, we can provide a personal shopper service as well.”
Selma, who was once a restaurateur in Almancil, said: “It isn’t only women who can benefit from good image advice. Men are notorious for hanging on to old suits, jackets and hairstyles. In a very short time we can advise on a more up-to-date look and a more youthful image too.”
Be You offers personal consultancy either at a client’s home or at its studio in Vale Telheiro. Other services include style coaching and seminars to corporate clients.
Among the attendees at the inauguration were Hermes Alberto from the local charity ASCA and head of security at Quinta do Lago, Hélder Martins, leader of PSD/Loulé, and Volker Biebesheimer, President of the Almancil International Rotary Club.
