The body of the 28-year-old spear-fisherman who disappeared while on a dive near Ponta da Atalaia (Aljezur) three days ago was found this morning by divers involved in the search. It was located a little south of the Ponta, very close to where the young man had set out in the company of two friends. It has since transpired that this was a group that does not frequently fish in Aljezur waters, which can be treacherous, particularly around Ponta da Atalaia.
Various entities were involved in this operation: Lagos maritime police, forensic divers, Sagres lifeboat crew and drone operators from Aljezur fire station.
