Running until January 4, the event sees the square decorated with stunning lighting and filled with fun activities for the entire family.
Highlights include an ice rink, carousel and Christmas train, although the programme also features live dance and theatre performances, concerts, circus shows and the always highly anticipated arrival of Santa Claus, scheduled for December 20 in Silves.
There will also be a Christmas market selling a variety of festive-themed items and local handicrafts, as well as regional delicacies.
The event will run every day from 2pm to 8pm, except on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, when it will close earlier at 6pm. It will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Meanwhile, in the neighbouring borough of Lagoa, the town’s Christmas fair is already delighting visitors near the Carlos do Carmo auditorium.
Lagoa Natal 2025 promises fun for children and adults, with the House of Santa Claus as a highlight, but also with a themed train, carousel, mini Ferris wheel, ice rink, roaming entertainment (face painting and various shows), Christmas markets and much more.
The Christmas fair in Lagoa will be open Monday to Friday from 3pm to 8pm, while Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays run from 10am to 1pm and again from 2pm to 8pm.
