The CEO of a large cleaning services company based in Vila Franca de Xira has been arrested for alleged tax fraud resulting in €40 million losses to the State. Armando Cardoso, CEO of Conforlimpa, which has several contracts with the State for cleaning services in hospitals, courts and police stations, is being held in preventative prison while investigation continues. Hundreds of employees now fear for their future.
