At least five Continente hypermarkets are to be built in Angola, following the signing of an €80 million deal between Sonae and Condis, the company owned by Isabel dos Santos, daughter of the President of Angola, José Eduardo dos Santos. The hypermarket brand, owned by Sonae, sees the former Portuguese colony in Africa as a priority in its expansion strategy. The first store is set to open in 2013.
