Situated in Quinta do Lago, Rusoi offers a modern and contemporary dining experience with attentive service.
Opened by owner Jit Mohan on September 26, the restaurant’s a la carte menu features authentic Indian recipes, with some even belonging to members of his family.
Jit Mohan also owns a successful Indian restaurant in Warrington, England, and decided to expand his restaurant business to the Algarve after being convinced to do so by loyal customers in England.
“About 18 families that come to my restaurant in England holiday in the Algarve and they said I should open a restaurant here as there was a market for it,” Jit Mohan said.
The restaurant has also been a popular place to enjoy a special lunch, with Indian style wraps being a particular favourite among customers. Rusoi also offers a take-away service for clients who would rather eat in the comfort of their own home.
“Since opening, we have gradually been building up custom. We have been popular with large groups of golfers and, at lunchtime, we have many Portuguese customers who really enjoy the Indian wraps. People who want real traditional Indian food should come to visit us to experience what we have to offer.”
Rusoi is open for lunch from noon to 2pm and in the evening from 6pm to 11.30pm. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and Christmas Day.
