Estoi Rotary Club supports community health project in Guinea-Bissau

The project aims to improve access to health education and strengthen maternal care

Rotary Club Estoi Palace International is supporting the project “Healthy Helping Hands: Community Health & Midwifery Education” in Tabanane (Guinea-Bissau).

The project, led by midwife and nurse Tashmyn Rosario in partnership with the Hope for Fulanis ONG, aims to improve access to health education, strengthen maternal care, and train local helpers to support women and families in the rural community of Tabanane village.

During the first phase of the project, Tashmyn will implement the program, and start providing health education training during pregnancies and maternal care guidance in this remote village where only a male helper with no formal medical training is available.

“This initiative embodies the true spirit of Rotary – service above self. RCEPI is proud to join a mission that saves lives and transforms communities. With this support, we reaffirm our commitment to making a difference both locally and globally, by supporting initiatives that promote health, education, and hope,” says RCEPI.

The Club’s financial contribution was formally presented during its meeting on October 7.
