British resident Stephen Weaver will be joined by other Algarve fencers at a free demonstration at Ria Shopping in Olhão tomorrow (Saturday) evening from 7pm.
Stephen Weaver, a former British Army Sabre champion, will be trying to raise awareness of the sport in the region while looking for sponsors of his fencing club, the Clube de Esgrima da EBAI, in Olhão.
“All are welcome, if only to see me making a fool of myself,” he said.
The demonstration will take place in the restaurant area of the shopping centre.
