Easter Sunday will see the streets of São Brás de Alportel filled with colour as the celebration of the resurrection of Christ takes the form of the annual flower torch parade.
A carpet of natural colour, laid by a team of volunteers, will cover over a kilometre of streets. The parade starts at 9.30am at the main church and will pass through the town, while at 3pm there will be a pottery and traditional sweets fair accompanied by live music.
