Galeria Fluorovision in São Brás de Alportel will be closing in September.
Johanna Jamrath opened the UV art gallery in April and has held music events and electro/trance parties at the gallery but after consistently low visitor numbers to the unique gallery, it has been forced to close.
The German told the Algarve Resident: “The gallery needs more time to become known in the Algarve but I do not have the funds to continue further.”
She added: “Of course I would like to reopen the gallery and continue but perhaps in a place nearer to the coast with more people passing by.”
The gallery will continue to open daily from 6pm until midnight until September 19.
