The Algarve charity APAA, dedicated to the care and protection of animals, is proud to present “an unforgettable” Variety Show Fundraiser on Sunday, November 16 and Monday, November 17. So, get ready for a night of laughter, rhythm, and heartfelt entertainment – all in support of our furry, four-legged friends.
The show’s director, Paul Jokinen-Carter writes, “We have set out to capture the nostalgia of classic variety shows, reminiscent of the beloved Sunday Night at the London Palladium. With that spirit in mind, we’ve carefully selected a mix of musical genres, energetic dance routines, and comedy sketches to bring that timeless entertainment style back to life.”
Paul goes on to say, “We hope for example that the comedy scenes will transport you through time – from an eccentric tour of the house of Charlotte Brontë, to a perilous airplane flight complete with live sound effects (!), and finally to a chaotic canteen where the new recruit is terrifying both customers and staff.”
The curtain will be raised at 7.30pm on both days at the Auditório do Museu de Portimão.
All proceeds from the evening will go directly to APAA helping care for animals in the Algarve.
Tickets are available now for €15 and donations are welcome from those who can’t attend but still wish to support the cause. The evening will also include a donation prize draw. Each prize is unique and priceless resulting from generous donations from local business owners and APAA supporters.
If you are looking for a fun night out with family and friends, this is a show you won’t want to miss.
