Two masked men armed with firearms robbed a jewellery store at the Aqua shopping centre in Portimão this Tuesday morning (December 30).
According to TVI and CNN Portugal, the two suspects made off with cash they stole from the cash register along with several pieces of jewellery after threatening staff.
The two men fled the scene immediately after the robbery and remain at large. No injuries have been reported, the two media outlets report.
Police are carrying out investigations to identify and locate the suspects, they add. CCTV footage from the shopping centre is expected to play a key role in the inquiry, which is being handled by the PJ criminal police.
