Many people will already have seen his photo on our social media. He is a calm, steady, gentle dog who takes everything in his stride and has become a favourite with volunteers simply because he is so easy to be around.
Max’s life changed suddenly in June 2024. He had been living on a piece of land in Lagos, but when the property was sold, his owner was no longer able to keep him safely. He brought Max to the shelter to ensure he was protected and had the chance of finding a proper home. Since arriving, Max has shown us just how good-natured he is.
Max is affectionate, well-behaved, and great with people and other dogs. He enjoys company, gentle walks, and attention, and would make a wonderful companion for almost any family looking for a calm and loyal dog.
December is always a busy month for us, and many of our local partners have kindly invited us – and some of the dogs – to join their festive events. Please keep an eye on our social media for updates, as more dates are being added.
- From December 7-14, we will be at the Lagos Christmas Market on Praça do Infante.
- On December 21-22, you can find us at The Food Co. in Portimão for our food and donation collection weekend.
Throughout the month, raffle tickets will be on sale, with the draw taking place on January 1 during the annual “Quiz of the Year” at The Collab Bar. The Collab will also be hosting their Christmas Market on Sunday, December 14 from noon, with festive carols from the Western Algarve Community Choir at 7pm – an ideal time to pick up raffle tickets and get in to the festive spirit.
