The UK’s longest running and premier event on relocating to Portugal, the Moving to Portugal Show and Seminars has revealed unabated appetite for life overseas. Homebuyers, entrepreneurs and families seeking a better quality of life all flocked to the latest Moving to Portugal Show in London, which took place on October 16.
The event saw record attendance, with over 310 people attending throughout the day. Many are keen to swell the ranks of the 48,238 Britons that Portugal’s Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum (AIMA) reports were already living there in 2024.
With a comprehensive focus on the practicalities and benefits of relocating from the UK to Portugal, seminar presenters, expert panellists and a carefully curated selection of exhibitors provided attendees with a wealth of current and pertinent information. Topics covered property, investment, tax planning, residency, banking, visas and more. Two dedicated seminar sessions were held as part of the event, with full attendance at both.
The event also shone a spotlight on particularly popular areas of Portugal for UK movers, including Lisbon’s South Bank, the Algarve’s Golden Triangle and other coastal areas, Cascais and the Douro region. Attendees benefitted from market insights, pricing information and a detailed breakdown of the types of homes available, from elegant resort properties to impressive villas.

The Moving to Portugal Show has taken place twice in London and once in Dublin so far this year. The next event will be in Edinburgh on November 21, 2025, with places free to book online in advance of the event at https://MTP-Edinburgh.eventbrite.co.uk. Events are also confirmed for 2026.
