Portimão’s riverside will be the stage for the town’s very first Portimão Foodtrucks festival, running from August 28 to 31. The event promises a mix of street food, live music, and family-friendly entertainment by the Arade River.
Organised by the local association Teia D’Impulsos, the festival will bring together a variety of food trucks offering both Portuguese favourites and international flavours. From Portugal’s classic ‘prego no bolo do caco’ (a steak sandwich served in traditional bolo do caco flat bread from Madeira) to Lebanese, Mexican, and Italian dishes, visitors will be spoilt for choice.

The event is free to enter and runs daily from 6pm to midnight. Alongside the food, sunset DJ sessions kick off at 7pm, followed by live concerts each night from 9pm, featuring the following acts:
- Aug 28: Luís Galrito · DJ Nuno Silva
- Aug 29: Laura Mary · DJ Francisco Oliveira
- Aug 30: De Rose · DJ Joinha
- Aug 31: David Garcez · DJ Trippy Sound

Says Teia D’Impulsos, the music lineup highlights national talent while creating a lively summer atmosphere. The association adds that the new event aims to boost Portimão’s cultural and gastronomic scene, offering fresh options for evenings out in the town for residents and tourists.
