Portimão’s Rua Direita is gearing up for InDireita Street Fest, which returns this Saturday, December 14 for its sixth and final edition of the year.
The iconic street will close to traffic once more and embrace a full day of festivities, turning the town centre into an open-air celebration.
Stores will be open longer than usual, the street will come to life with stalls selling handmade crafts, organic fruit and vegetables in the morning, and live performances will range from music and dance to skate exhibitions and lessons. There will also be workshops for children, a new empreita (palm weaving) workshop for adults, traditional games, interactive art, and more.
Hosted by local association P.O.I.S. – Palco das Ondas Invisíveis Studio, the event will run from 10am to 10pm and is free to visit.
