Portugal is among the four finalists in the running to host the 2029 UEFA Women’s European Championship, alongside Germany, Poland, and the joint Denmark/Sweden bid.
UEFA confirmed that the decision will be revealed on December 3 at a ceremony at its headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. The process is now entering its final phase, with formal presentations from each candidate nation expected in the coming weeks.
Portugal has been steadily building a reputation as a top venue for major women’s football tournaments. In 2024, the country hosted the Women’s Champions League final at Alvalade, and it is also part of the joint bid for the 2030 FIFA Men’s World Cup, alongside Spain and Morocco.
