Before Christmas, two events are on the programme of Galeria Arte Algarve located in the historic Lagoa winery.
‘Health Matters’ – with Reiki Grand Master Marc Requilé (sound therapy) and Ke Wang, who was born in China and specialises in “Ido, Chinese gua sha, Chinese cupping, moxa, cure by fire, Chinese tuina massage and Chinese acupuncture” – is on December 12 at 7.30pm.
On Friday, December 20 Ondina Santos will be the grand lady at a Fado evening beginning at 7.30pm.
The gallery closes its doors on December 21 and remains closed over the winter. In spring, “Portugal’s largest art gallery” will be expanded, says owner Rolf Osang: “Contemporary art can then be admired in a space covering 2,300sqm.” The new section will be opened at the vernissage of the anniversary exhibition ARTE ALGARVE OPEN X on April 12.”
