Prost! Oktoberfest celebrated at Vila Vita Biergarten

Germany’s centuries-old annual festival will bring Bavarian food, Erdinger beer and live music to Porches

Vila Vita Biergarten in Porches will once again host Oktoberfest, bringing the festive atmosphere of Munich to the Algarve from Wednesday, September 24 to Sunday, October 5. The event, inspired by Germany’s most famous beer festival, celebrates Bavarian traditions but in “Algarve-style”.

The Biergarten, operated by the prestigious luxury resort Vila Vita Parc, will recreate the typical German beer hall experience, with long shared tables, a menu of Bavarian specialties, and plenty of Weissbier from Erdinger, one of Germany’s most respected breweries and a long-standing partner of the event.

Adding to the authentic atmosphere, a traditional Bavarian band – well known to regular visitors of the festival – will provide live music throughout the celebrations. Organisers promise evenings filled with good food, music, and, of course, plenty of beer.

About Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest originated in Munich in 1810, when a public festival was held to celebrate the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. What began as a local celebration with horse races and beer has since grown into the world’s largest folk festival, attracting millions of visitors every year. Today, Oktoberfest is known for its lively atmosphere, traditional Bavarian music, hearty food, and, above all, its beer served in large steins.
