A Christmas-themed protest against the A22 tolls is taking place tomorrow (December 22) in Albufeira, where the President of Portugal is expected to be holidaying with his family.
The ‘Santa Bike Ride For the Suspension of Tolls in the Algarve’ is being promoted by the Via do Infante Users’ Commission (CUVI), which will be delivering “various presents” to President Cavaco Silva at Aldeia da Coelha in Albufeira at 11.30am.
Those interested in taking part in the protest should meet at the AlgarveShopping car park in Guia, preferably dressed in Santa outfits, at 10am. Foreign residents can contact CUVI member Michael Ferrada.
