Any person or entity can report a situation of social vulnerability and may do so anonymously

A new project that “can save lives” is now up and running in the Lagoa municipality.

Radar Social” (Social Radar) is a pilot project under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), funded by the European Union, which provides for the “implementation of an integrated system” that identifies individuals, families or groups in situations of social vulnerability, at risk of poverty, social exclusion or discrimination.

When should you report a situation of social vulnerability?

You should notify the Radar Social team whenever you become aware of individuals, families or groups at risk of poverty, social exclusion and/or in a situation of social vulnerability.

Says Lagoa Council: “Social vulnerability refers to individuals, families or groups who have significant difficulties in accessing essential goods and services, such as housing, healthcare, employment and/or education, and/or who suffer from any type of situation that affects their wellbeing and quality of life, resulting in situations of vulnerability and insecurity.”

  • In person, at the Radar Social team’s premises – Market Counter (Balcão do Mercado), Rua Coronel Figueiredo n.º 31/33, 8400-470 Lagoa;
  • Using the report form, available at the Lagoa Town Hall, all parish councils in the municipality and/or partner entities;
