‘Alcoutim ComVida’ will run through July and August
Summer nights in the usually sleepy town of Alcoutim will be brought to life with a series of live music performances running through July and August.
Every Wednesday at 10pm, the town’s Praça da República will host live shows spanning a range of genres, from Fado and pop-rock to Latin, folk and traditional Alentejo music.
On Thursdays, the festivities spread across the municipality, with performances also at 10pm in Martim Longo, Vaqueiros, Giões and Pereiro.
The entertainment program begins on Wednesday, July 2 in Alcoutim with Joana Gonçalves & Os Terra Forte, and will also include theatre and dance performances.
“Culture should be a bridge that connects the territory,” says Alcoutim mayor Paulo Paulino. “We believe communities deserve access to moments of conviviality, leisure and culture. This program is a firm step towards promoting equality in the access to culture, fulfilling our commitment to make Alcoutim a more united municipality with options for everyone,” he adds.
All events are free.
