An Italian themed evening was held on May 5 at Quinta das Oliveiras in aid of the Refúgio dos Burros (Donkey Sanctuary) in Estômbar.
Hosts Verna and Philip Kinder, with help from friends, provided a meal of various dishes, including spaghetti Tetrazzini, lasagne and tiramisu, to 36 guests.
A total of €583 was raised from donations and a raffle to go towards the Donkey Sanctuary spaying and neutering programme.
