After the success of last year’s ‘Goldra dogs’ wall calendar, the Friends of the New Goldra Dog Sanctuary have just launched the 2014 edition, featuring dogs for adoption and sponsorship, to raise funds for the animal shelter.
Volunteer designer Elaine Archer said: “This year’s calendar is of superior quality and consists of 14 pages, including two dedicated to rehoming and sponsoring dogs. Calendars are individually shrink-wrapped as last year and make wonderful gifts at just €8.95 each.”
All proceeds from the sales will go directly to help funding for the dogs and cover expenses of food, medication and vet’s bills.
The Algarve Resident is a proud sponsor of this initiative.
The New Goldra Dog Sanctuary is a non-profit-making organisation, solely reliant on private funding and donations to meet all day-to-day running costs.

Meanwhile, the Friends of the New Goldra Dog Sanctuary will be at Iceland supermarket on Friday, October 4, from 11am to 4pm, doing their monthly ‘bag pack’ and animal food bank collection, to raise funds and food for needy animals.
