2026 brings 20 major races to Algarve racetack

From MotoGP to European Le Mans, world-class racing returns to the Algarve in a packed 2026 season

The Algarve International Circuit has locked in a high-octane race calendar for 2026, with 20 events packed into the year.

From January to November, the iconic track hosts action on two and four wheels, drawing tens of thousands of spectators and some of motorsport’s most elite drivers and riders.

The headline events will include the MotoGP, which will roar back into the Algarve for the Portuguese Grand Prix in November, the Superbike World Championship, which will hit the tarmac again in March, and the European Le Mans Series, bringing endurance racing thrills to the south of Portugal in October. Indeed, the tenth month of the year will be the busiest, with a run of major competitions including the Algarve Classic Festival.
