Hotel management firm Highgate Portugal is heading to the Algarve with a major recruitment push, aiming to hire around 240 employees to boost its hospitality teams across the country.
The recruitment day takes place on Friday, January 23 at the Kimpton Atlântico Algarve in Albufeira, running from 9am to 6pm, and will feature speed interviews and on-the-spot hiring for successful candidates.
Open to applicants with different backgrounds and levels of experience, the initiative covers a wide range of hospitality roles, including procurement, spa services, housekeeping and food and beverage (front and back of house), as well as hotel manager and assistant hotel manager positions.
Portuguese comedian Hugo Sousa will take part in the event, helping to create a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for candidates.
Highgate Portugal says the recruitment drive is about more than simply filling vacancies, stressing its focus on talent development and long-term career progression. New hires will have access to the company’s Highly Gifted People programme, designed to prepare employees for new challenges and internal career growth.
“Everyone has talent and the potential to grow,” said Jaime Morais Sarmento, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Highgate Portugal, adding that the group’s role is to create the right conditions for people to develop and add value over time.
The group says that this initiative “reinforces its commitment to investing in people and their professional development and building motivated teams aligned with a culture of excellence in hospitality.”
