Tourist board invests €800,000 promoting gastronomy in 2023

The Portuguese tourist board has invested around €800,000 this year in promoting gastronomy – the largest amount ever, half of which will be invested in the first exclusively Portuguese Michelin Guide gala, to be held in the Algarve in February. “2023 makes a difference from the point of view of promoting Portugal as a gastronomy destination,” Lídia Monteiro, member of the board of directors of the tourism board said today, during a meeting with the press in Lisbon about the gala to present the Portuguese side of the Michelin Guide Spain and Portugal 2024, scheduled for February 27.
