Rescue dogs had a wonderful time strolling through Lagos
Cadela Carlota would like to express its sincere gratitude to TIBI, especially the fantastic Lagos team, for organizing a truly special Dog Walk last Saturday, May 24.
It was a joyful event filled with wagging tails, smiling faces, and a real sense of community spirit. Our rescue dogs had a wonderful time strolling through Lagos, getting plenty of attention, cuddles, and even a few treats along the way!
We’re also incredibly grateful for the thoughtful giveaways, the donated products, and – most importantly – the generous support from everyone who participated or stopped by to say ‘hello’ and make a donation. Your kindness makes a real difference in the lives of our animals.
Our organization has a formal protocol in place with TIBI that helps both us and our adopters. Thanks to this partnership, we receive discounts on essential products for the dogs and cats in our care, and adopters also receive discount vouchers to help them get started with their new companions. This support is invaluable and helps us provide better care while encouraging responsible adoption.
The protocol also allows us to take part in events like the Dog Walk, where we can introduce some of our animals to the public. These moments are key to finding them loving homes – and we’re happy to report that one of our dogs was reserved on the day!
Among the furry stars of the event were two tiny puppies: Becca (female) and Bear (male), both around two months old. These sweet pups were found abandoned in the trash and have been lovingly bottle-fed by our volunteers. Calm, playful, and very sociable, Becca and Bear are expected to grow into medium-sized dogs, although we can’t be sure of their breed as we never met their parents.
When someone adopts a puppy from us, we provide their initial vaccinations, rabies shot, microchip with registration, and, when they’re old enough, sterilization – because responsible pet ownership matters.
