A day of fun golf has been organised by afpop, Portugal’s largest foreign residents association, for July 31 at the Vila Sol Golf Academy near Vilamoura.
Resident PGA professional Richard Hudson and his team will be available to golfers to give hints and tips on how to improve their game in an informal and friendly atmosphere, while there will also be a chance to try out the Explanar Golf Swing System.
Staff from TaylorMade Golf will also be on hand to let visitors try out their latest equipment, with custom fitting experts giving advice on the lengths and angles clubs need to be to get the most from your game.
For golfers of all ages looking to have some fun on the day, competitions for adults and juniors, including a putting competition and a chipping challenge will be taking place, while barbecued food and refreshments will be available from Zonda BBQs.

Entry to the event, which will run between 10am and 5pm, costs six Euros or 10 Euros for couples, with admission for children between the ages of five and 15 costing three Euros.
Custom fittings need to be pre-booked through afpop before the event and there will be a charge of 30 euros for the service redeemable against items bought at Nevada Bob’s Golf Store.
