Palmeiras Resort/ Tavira veteran Cândido Barbosa ensured there was plenty of early pace allowing Algarve team mate David Blanco to take the 28th edition of cycling’s Tour of the Alentejo.
The Spanish three-time Tour of Portugal winner was followed home by another Tavira rider in Alejandro Marque with Liberty’s Fabio Silvestre and LA-Parede’s Jose Mendes taking third and fourth ahead of the tiring Barbosa.
