Alzheimer Portugal, an association providing assistance to Alzheimer’s patients and their friends and family, will be opening its Algarve headquarters in Portimão in September.
It will be located at Urbanização do Pimentão (Lote 2) in Três Bicos and will be open on weekdays between 9am and 12.30pm.
Around 200,000 people in Portugal are believed to suffer from dementia and forecasts suggest the number could “increase significantly” in coming years.
