The winner of the weekly Monday competition on the crown green at Amendoeira Bowls Club was Peter Cain who beat Janette O’Neil by 11-9 on May 24. Janette had previously beaten all the male contenders in the round robin group stage of the competition, one of whom was Peter Clarke, a previous competition winner on the crown green.
Anyone can enter the crown green competition at Amendoeira Bowls Club which is held each week on Mondays and commences at 9.30am during the summer months. For those wishing to learn the game, lessons are free.
