Apolónia supermarkets launch recruitment drive with 80 vacancies

Open days in Almancil, Galé and Lagoa aim to strengthen teams ahead of the summer season

Supermarket chain Apolónia Supermercados is once again opening its doors to job seekers with a new round of recruitment open days across the Algarve, offering 80 vacancies for both seasonal and permanent positions.

The initiative aims to strengthen teams ahead of the busy summer season, while also bringing in new staff for long-term roles within the company.

In total, 50 positions are available for seasonal work, while 30 roles are for permanent integration into the company’s workforce, described as a “perfect opportunity” for those looking for work in the food retail sector in the region.

The open days will take place at the chain’s stores in Galé, Almancil and Lagoa on March 17, 19 and 20, respectively, between 10am and 6pm.

Available roles include checkout operators, shelf replenishment assistants, delicatessen staff, butchers and fishmongers. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available.

The company says employees will have access to a range of benefits, including individual and team performance bonuses, an extra day off on their birthday, and up to two additional vacation days depending on attendance.

Permanent staff will also benefit from health insurance, as well as staff discounts in the group’s stores and complimentary morning and afternoon snacks during working hours.

During the recruitment sessions, candidates will be able to learn more about the available roles, visit the stores and meet the recruitment team.

Those interested must pre-register through the company’s website, after which selected applicants will be contacted to schedule their interview during the open days.
