Cliffs at 11 Algarve beaches not accessible by land in the Lagoa and Albufeira councils were inspected on April 28 by the Maritime Police and the Algarve Water Authority (ARH).
The action aimed to detect cliffs at risk of collapse but ARH technicians concluded none posed any imminent danger.
The beaches of Pau, Baraço, Fontainhas, Submarino, Pontal, Pequena, and one westerly to Marinha beach, in the Lagoa council, and Balbina, Coelhinha, Maré das Porcas, and one near Arrifes beach, in the Albufeira council, are reported as being safe for use by tourist boats that visit them with their clients.
Meanwhile, Tavira and Lagos cities are going to display the Quality Coast European flag for their performance in sustainability and tourism quality.
