The Cascade Wellness Resort in Lagos is once again bringing people together for a good cause, as it hosts the third edition of the Arraial de Verão summer party on September 12 and 13.
Set in the resort’s Portuguese Garden, the event combines authentic flavours and live entertainment, with all proceeds going to NECI, a local non-profit association that supports people with special needs.
From 5pm to 10.30pm, visitors will be able to embark on a culinary journey across Portugal led by renowned chefs from Highgate Portugal, who will be preparing street food-style dishes served from a variety of stalls throughout the garden. Confirmed names include Wilson Costa of Kan.Jo at the Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Spa; Alexandre Luisa and André Cosme from Senses at Cascade Wellness Resort; Ilídio Barbosa of Cusco Bar at Hilton Porto Gaia; and Diogo Santos of Aroma at Monte Santo Resort; Afonso Santos from Morgado Golf & Country Club; André Santos from Po Tat at Palácio do Governador; José Faustino from MarLuso at Sesimbra Oceanfront Hotel; and David Luisa representing Sombra at the Kimpton Algarve Hotel.
But food is only part of the celebration. Guests can expect lively performances from the Rancho Folclórico de Odiáxere, the Marchas CCD Lagos, and traditional singer Carlos Agapito. Entry is free, with the purchase of food and drinks directly supporting NECI, which has been working for over three decades to provide education, care, and inclusion opportunities for children, young people, and adults with social and developmental challenges.
The event is backed by Villa Alvor, Super Bock, Coca Cola, Loulé Fardas, World Wide Design and Multitendas.
