The Vale do Lobo Christmas Market, held at the resort on December 1, raised €1,040 for the Wolf Valley Charity Fund, which provides support and finance to numerous needy causes in the local area, including the disabled, the underprivileged and the socially deprived.
A delighted Alda Filipe, Vale do Lobo Real Estate and Marketing Director, described the market as “not only a great day out for all the family, but an opportunity for visitors and residents to embrace the Christmas spirit while helping charitable causes.”

For the third year running, the Christmas Market – which took place in the Vale do Lobo Auditorium – combined a luxury lifestyle Christmas gift market with a gourmet food and wine fair. Entertainment included face-painting with Oficina de Sonhos, Christmas songs from the Algarve Juniors, and mellow jazz from Betty M, whilst local model agency Base Models – in association with children’s fashion company Metro Kids – held a fun fashion show and casting call for aspiring models for an upcoming photo shoot in the Algarve on behalf of Littlewoods Catalogue.

The kids on the catwalk were undoubtedly the stars of the show, and Base Models’ Portugal Manager Ela Clark was ably supported by hair and make-up artist Mandy Ware, together with Birch Photography and Daracle Photography, who had set up an impromptu studio to take test shots on the day.
