Apolónia Supermarkets will once again host the popular Wine and Cheese Fair, bringing together more than 600 wines and 200 cheeses from Portugal and around the world. The event takes place until Sunday, September 21 in all three Apolónia stores (Lagoa, Galé and Almancil) and online, with discounts of up to 50%.
This year’s edition features a wide range of products for every taste and budget, from bottles priced at just €2.99 to prestigious labels worth thousands. The highlight is the exclusive appearance of the legendary Romanée-Conti, often considered the best wine in the world. Usually priced at €36,950, this rare Burgundy wine is highly sought after by collectors and wine lovers worldwide.
Alongside such luxury, the fair also offers an impressive selection of Portuguese wines from regions including Douro, Alentejo, Dão, Setúbal, Algarve, Madeira, and the Azores, as well as international wines from France, Spain, Italy, Germany, the USA, South Africa, Chile, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand. There will also be a special section dedicated to champagne, plus a growing range of alcohol-free wines and sparkling options.
For cheese lovers, visitors can discover both Portuguese classics, such as sheep, goat, cow, and mixed milk varieties, as well as international favourites from Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, the UK, and the USA. The selection includes many DOP, IGP, organic, and exclusive products.
As usual, the fair also features tastings, allowing visitors to try different pairings of wine and cheese. New this year, the catalogue will highlight Ânfora and Nat’Cool wines, as well as alcohol levels, a detail increasingly valued by consumers.
“The Wine and Cheese Fair is always an important and traditional moment for us, allowing us to celebrate the great richness and diversity we have in these two specialties, whether of national or international origin. It also brings us closer to our customers, offering them sublime gastronomic experiences with unique pairings of the two featured delicacies, while at the same time highlighting the wide range of prices in our wine cellar, which goes from accessible options to prestigious labels,” said Ângela Sarmento, Marketing and Communication Director of Apolónia Supermarkets.

“This year, for the first time, we are bringing to this event the prestigious Romanée-Conti, considered by many to be the best wine in the world, and a reference that elevates any wine cellar,” she added.
