Growing tourism demand has led to an increase in investment in the Portuguese hotel market in recent years, particularly in five districts of the country that concentrate the largest supply of hotel units for sale, according to Idealista.
The greatest predominance is in the districts of Faro (24 hotels), Lisbon (20), Porto (19), Évora (9) and Beja (8).
In the case of the Algarve (Faro district), hotels for sale are spread out through the municipalities of Faro (6), Lagos (6), Loulé (3), Tavira (2), Lagoa (2), Albufeira (1), Alcoutim (1) and Vila do Bispo (1).
In Porto and the North, six hotels are for sale spread out over Vila do Conde (3), Amarante, Felgueiras and Maia (one each).
Lisbon has the largest number of hotels for sale (10), while others are spread out over Mafra (4), Cascais (3), Lourinhã (2), and Torres Vedras (1).
In the Alentejo, hotels are for sale in Évora (1), Beja (2), Estremoz (2), and Serpa (3).
