An art exhibition by artist Annie m.a.Daenens is on show at the Bike & Art gallery, within the Martin’s E-bikes store in Almancil.
Annie began her career as an artist at the age of 16, having later studied at art academies in Belgium.
She first exhibited work in 1973 and has since held group and individual exhibitions in Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Portugal and the UK.
She has also been teaching at several art schools in Belgium.
Her most recent work is a selection of graceful paintings depicting horses, and lately she has started a series of mysterious blue landscapes.
Her last shows in Portugal were held at the Slave Market in Lagos, the Galeria de Arte in the Museu do Trajo São Brás do Alportel and at Arte Algarve in Lagoa.
The Bike & Art gallery is located at Avenida Duarte Pacheco 48 and the exhibition runs until the end of January 2014.
