Hotel Colina dos Mouros in Silves was the venue for a Christmas Fair in aid of local charity Castelo dos Sonhos last Saturday. A total of 25 stalls, selling a variety of items, including Christmas goodies, jewellery, cakes and handicraft, and visitors helped raise €763 for Castelo dos Sonhos. With 8,760 registered poor on the charity’s books, there are plenty of areas that require financial assistance.
The next event in aid of the charity will be at the Amorosa Social Club on December 8 for “a turkey dinner with all the trimmings”. A five-piece band will entertain guests.
Cost is €12 euros per person.
