Tavira Câmara has decided to substantially reduce the Christmas lighting decoration for the city in 2012, to reinforce the support given to the poorest families in the locality throughout the Christmas season. The municipal executive has limited this year’s decorations to a Christmas tree at the Praça da República, costing less than €4,000, a 90% reduction on last year.
