The Tavira office of international estate agents Fine & Country recently held a party attended by members of the local business community and clients, on October 9, to celebrate 10 years of the company’s presence in the Tavira area.
Originally founded by husband-and-wife team Emmanuel Deschamps and David Holder in 2015, the company opened its first office in Santa Luzia before moving to its current location in the heart of Tavira.
Since December last year, when Emmanuel Deschamps and David Holder exited the business, the office has become a wholly-owned and operated subsidiary of Fino Propriedades Lda, the master licensee for the Algarve region of the brand.
Fine & Country in the UK will be celebrating its 25th anniversary next year and now has over 300 offices worldwide. In the UK, the company recently overtook Knight Frank in the ranking of estate agents in the upper quartile of the market (properties valued above £500,000), now holding second position behind only Savills.
In the Algarve, Fine & Country has four offices located in Carvoeiro, Albufeira, Almancil, and Tavira.
“We see Tavira as our largest potential growth area in the Algarve,” said managing partner Zoie Hawker. “Since taking over full ownership of the Tavira business, we have invested in a full refurbishment of the office and have carefully recruited new team members to help take us forward and consolidate our position as a leading agent in the area.”
