New €80 million Rivus development launched in Vilamoura

Luxury project features 39 apartments

A new residential development named Rivus has been launched in Vilamoura, adding to the long list of recently announced residential projects included in its ongoing development plan.

The €80 million development will include 39 apartments, offering two-, three- and four-bedroom options, with sizes ranging from 107 to 202 square metres, and forms part of the wider goal to position Vilamoura as a “benchmark for living and investing in Southern Europe,” Arrow Global says in a statement to the press.

According to the team behind the project, Rivus centres around a strong connection between “landscape and water, creating a residential environment focused on tranquillity, functionality, and a strong connection to the outdoors”.

One of the most distinctive features of the complex is a large swimming pool running through the middle of the complex.

Meanwhile, the apartments have been designed with a “strong connection to outdoor living, featuring generous balconies, spacious terraces, and private gardens, allowing for a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.”

It is located just a stone’s throw away from Vilamoura’s world-famous marina and environmental park, as well as a short walk from the Rocha Baixinha beach.

The project is being developed through a fund managed by Norfin SGOIC and marketed by From:, which manages the property portfolio of Arrow Global Portugal – which owns Vilamoura World, the resort’s master developer.

The latest development to be announced is further proof of the massive wave of investment being channelled into Vilamoura.

“Vilamoura is today a strategic priority. With more than 10 projects already developed or under development, we position ourselves as the region’s leading developer, with a long-term vision for its growth,” says Luís Pimentel, Coordinating Director at Norfin SGOIC.

“Rivus emerges in this context as another step in consolidating a high-quality residential offering, designed for those seeking to live in the Algarve on a permanent basis, with quality, integration, and a strong connection to the surrounding environment,” he adds.

The development will also include modern features such as smart home technology, allowing residents to manage their homes remotely, as well as a gym and pre-installation for electric vehicle charging.

Sustainability is also a focus, with the development expected to achieve an A-rated energy rating and AQUA+ water efficiency certification.

More information about the project can be found on the Vilamoura World website.
