Golden Christmas and Venetian New Year at Wyndham Grand Algarve

The Wyndham Grand Algarve in Quinta do Lago has revealed two exclusive events for the festive season: “A Golden Christmas”, on December 24 and 25, and “A Golden Night in Venice”, on December 31.

Christmas at the Wyndham Grand Algarve will combine traditional flavours with a refined twist. The festive buffet on both December 24 and 25 features Portuguese favourites such as cod with greens and cornbread, octopus “à Lagareiro”, turkey roulade with dried fruits and rosemary sauce, and lamb cutlets with mint sauce. Classic holiday desserts – including rabanadas (Portugal’s version of French toast), pumpkin fritters, king cake and Yule log – round off the menu. Dinner begins at 8pm on both nights, priced at €90 per person, with free meals for children up to three years old and a 50% discount for those aged four to twelve. Reservations may be made via email or phone.

To welcome 2026, the hotel is staging a Venetian-themed gala designed to bring guests into the New Year with glamour. The night includes a welcome cocktail, live music, a champagne toast at midnight, a late-night buffet and a DJ playing until 2am. Executive Chef Alexandre Oliveira has created a special menu inspired by Venetian cuisine, featuring dishes such as scarlet prawn ravioli with basil and lemon foam, semi-cured cod with potato mousseline and caviar, beef tenderloin with baby vegetables and jus, and a citrus and limoncello mousse for dessert. The gala dinner is priced at €295 per person, with an elegant dress code recommended. A Kids Club will run until 1am and offers a 50% discount for children aged four to twelve.

“Christmas and New Year are moments of sharing and inspiration for fresh beginnings, and we at Wyndham Algarve want each guest to experience this season with the elegance and sparkle that define us,” says Ana Camões, Wyndham Algarve’s Commercial Director.
