Handicapped children treated to tasty Christmas feast

Members of Lar São Vicente, a residential home for the physically and mentally handicapped in Albufeira, enjoyed a Christmas lunch recently thanks to the generosity of two local entities who made it possible.

Held at the Albufeira Camping Site restaurant, the 34 members of the Lar were treated to a real feast, with plenty of dancing and laughter by the log fire – all thanks to Algarve children’s charity ACCA and the Prince Henry the Navigator Masonic Lodge, who donated generously to enable this special event to take place.

Father Christmas made an appearance and distributed gifts to all those present and left some with the home’s Paula Mira for those not well enough to attend.  This is the third year that the young people have benefitted from the generous donation from the Lodge.
